Jason Muller

PGA Professional

Jason has been a PGA instructor for 17 years spending the first 4 of years teaching in Spain. In 2008 he became the Club PGA Professional at the Marriott Tudor Park resort for the remaining 13 years where he has built up a strong reputation in effective coaching and club development. He has been a county coach for Kent Golf and has a first class honors degree at Birmingham University for Golf Studies and the PGA. Jason also received an accolade from the Golf Mark Awards where he was responsible for being instrumental in setting up one of the best golfing facilities in the UK for player development and training.

Mark Peddar

Senior Coaching Professional

Mark has been a qualified PGA coach for 25 years and joined the Growing Golf team in the Autumn of 2017. He has held positions at prestigious venues such as Moor Park & Hendon in North London, and more recently in the Portuguese resorts of Quinta da Marinha and Praia del Rey Golf & Beach Resort.

At each of these venues Mark has worked with all standards of players from beginners to Tour players, juniors, groups and corporate clients. These diverse teaching groups, coupled with exposure to some of the world’s very best coaches, have allowed Mark to build up a great depth of teaching, mentoring skills and knowledge.

His ideas and passions have been advanced since returning to the UK in 2016, by using the very latest equipment and knowledge in coaching, club fitting and player development. Mark has also built up a sense of community with his players to ensure everyone maximises their golf enjoyment. He does this through regular group sessions, personal coaching apps, on-course play and hosting foreign winter coaching trips.

Mark’s purpose is to passionately and effectively help all players enjoy their golf more, through improved skills and understanding of their own games, which will naturally lead to improved performance.

Tom Sherreard

Tom had an outstanding amateur career which included playing in the 2008 Open Championship, finishing in a tie for 19th alongside the likes of Davis Love III, Graeme McDowell and Phil Mickelson. He represented his county and country at all age levels from U16 to the Men’s 1st Team and was selected to be the England Boys Team Captain in 2005 after winning the prestigious Peter McEvoy Trophy. Having completed a degree in psychology at Georgia State University in 2011, Tom turned professional playing mainly on the Challenge Tour. He returned to amateur golf in 2018 and continued to enjoy success winning the Kent Amateur Championships in 2021 and representing the Kent Men’s 1st team regularly.

Tom enjoys sharing his wealth of playing experience to help juniors, club members, elite amateurs and professionals become better players. He believes that by combining sound technical fundamentals and great course management you can become a better all-round player and improve your scores wherever you play. Callum is our Head Coaching Professional at Nizels Golf & Country Club. His playing career, both at elite amateur and professional level, led Callum to his passion for coaching in which he enjoys teaching beginners to elite aspiring tour players. He excels in coaching all areas of the game but has a particular passion for teaching 100 yards and in. The ‘scoring zone’ is where he believes most players can improve the most which leads to lower scores!

Chris Pearson

Chris is the Head Coach at Tudor Park Golf Club. He has spent the past decade at Kings Hill Golf Club, taking on various roles such as Director of Golf and Head of Junior Development. During his time there he has been lucky enough to work alongside some of the best coaches in Kent as well as renowned European Tour Professionals such as Robert Rock.

His coaching philosophy is straightforward; considering the challenges of this game, simplicity is key. He tailors his teaching to suit each player individually, recognising that every golfer has unique requirements. However, the ultimate objective remains the same – to enhance skills and enjoy the game!

Jack Ryan

PGA Professional

Jack has been coaching at Tudor Park Golf Club for a number of years and is an integral member of the Growing Golf team.

He turned professional in 2015 off a handicap of 0 and completed his PGA degree in 2019. He still finds time around coaching to play professional tournaments, and has had success playing pro-ams with many of his clients.

Jack is continuously learning different methods of teaching to provide his clients with the best experience possible. He adapts his lessons to the individual needs and teaches a functional swing – not always a pretty one!

He looks to build a relationship with all his clients and will always keep up regular communications, as once you do have a lesson you are now working as a team to improve your golf and enjoyment of the game. Jack has a passion for helping all players enjoy golf and would like to see more women play golf – with this being a focus for him in coming years.

Oliver Bettis

PGA Professional

Oliver qualified as a PGA professional in 2008 and has a wide range of golf coaching experience. He has taught golfers of all ages and abilities, with many of his players gaining single-figure handicaps and even professional status themselves.

Oliver’s philosophy of ‘small changes over a period of time’ allows new habits to form without the need to get worse before getting better! To help this, he uses a launch monitor to provide data on the improvements being made. He supplies video assistance during each lesson and also provides a platform for his clients to upload videos for feedback in between lessons, which ensures consistent improvement.

Competitive golf is important to Oliver, and he regularly plays PGA events across the UK. He has a passion for golf – especially the mental approach to the game – and this helps his players achieve impressive results at all levels.

Nick Brown

PGA Professional

Nick has over 20 years of experience in the golf industry and has long passed the 10,000 hour mark for coaching golf lessons! His depth of knowledge and passion for the game allows him to effectively help everyone he teaches.

There have been numerous junior golfers who Nick has coached who have developed into single-figure handicap players, with some becoming PGA professionals themselves. His main goal is for them to enjoy their golf for life.

Nick’s philosophy is to improve each player’s technique bit by bit so they are not overloaded with information, and he effectively uses games and challenges to improve skills in junior players.

He has studied biomechanics and has attended numerous seminars to improve his professional knowledge. Julian Reason

Julian has been a qualified PGA Professional since 2003 and played on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa for 3 years. He then focused his time on coaching, spending time in Dubai at the Jebel Ali Resort before moving to the PGA Tour Golf Academy at the World Golf Village in Jacksonville, Florida.

Since 2019, Julian has been Head Coach for Growing Golf at Hilden Golf Centre. His personal teaching style focuses on all aspects of the golf swing, helping each student reach their goals. He enjoys working with all ages and skill levels and his top priority is to help each player understand their own game, and to help players develop their own process of correction and development.

Over the last few years, he has worked with Trackman technology, one of the leading launch monitors to help improve players’ techniques, and he is qualified as a Level 2 Instructor with the Trackman University. Julian has also been studying at the Open University for the last 3 years on the psychological side of the game, focusing on players’ mindsets and mental approach to golf.

Julian’s knowledge and expertise as a coach is excellent, but what differentiates him from the others is how he gets to know your swing personally. Paul Dunton

Golf Professional

Following a successful amateur career Paul turned professional in 2001, embarking on a full time tournament schedule that saw him perform successfully on the PGA Europro Tour. Paul has also played tournaments all over the globe, enjoyed coverage on Sky Sports, and has competed against the likes of Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia, Paul Casey, Luke Donald, and many more. Paul enjoyed his maiden professional win at Darenth Valley in 2007 and continues to compete at national and international level, including co-sanctioned events on the Canadian PGA Tour, Open Championship qualifying, French Open and USPGA Mexico Open.

With a burning desire to further his knowledge for the game Paul made the decision in 2005 to move into coaching in addition to his playing career. He attained his first teaching post at Tonbridge Golf Centre, and in his 8 years there set up an incredibly popular junior academy programme as well as weekly open group ‘roll up’ mornings. In 2013 Paul joined the coaching team at Hilden Golf Centre and continued to flourish under the guidance of owner Danny French before joining the team at Growing Golf. During his time at Hilden Golf Centre Paul has established an ever-growing roster of clients for both individual lessons and his ‘roll up’ groups – accomodating players of all abilities.

Nicky Way

I first started playing golf at the Nevill Golf Club in Tunbridge Wells at the age of 13 and by the age of 18 I played off a plus 2 handicap. Having won the under 23 British Stroke Play Championship, South East Ladies Championship and Sussex Ladies Championship, and having represented England in the winning teams of the Nations Cup and the European Junior championships, I turned professional in 1988. I enjoyed playing on the Ladies European Tour for several years before dedicating myself to teaching and becoming a qualified golf professional.

I have worked at Hilden Golf Centre for the past 25 years where I have helped golfers of all ages and abilities. My philosophy is that no matter what level of golfer, “having fun” should be the number one priority while learning and playing. My approach to teaching is uncomplicated and I believe that a strong emphasis should be placed on the importance of pre-swing fundamentals, which is the foundation of any good golf swing.

Danny Williams

Danny turned professional in 2006 after he competed on professional tours in the UK, Europe and America. He has since fully committed himself to coaching and understanding the biomechanical and movement elements in golf swing techniques.

Danny is a certified TPI (Titliest Performance Institute) instructor. TPI is the world’s leading educational organisation dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. Danny will be able to screen your body movements which will highlight any swing restrictions and will be able to cater to your golf swing according to what your body can achieve improving ball flight, strike consistency and power.

Will is a highly experienced teacher with a background in Physics and Music and a love for Golf. He completed his professional coaching qualifications with the EGTF, is the Head of Golf at Hurstpierpoint College, and is Team Manager for the Kent Golf Union U16 team. Will’s teaching philosophy is ‘if you don’t understand, it’s my fault’. This means that all lessons are focused on ‘doing’ rather than ‘talking’ and are aimed at maximizing enjoyment and progress.

Scott Cullen

Hayley Hayes

PGA Level 1 Coach

I first started playing golf 20 years ago and have always been passionate about improving. This led to me receiving golf tuition for the last 5 years and becoming a member at Kings Hill Golf Club and playing regularly.

Because of my increasing interest and my daughter’s passion to play, I started to volunteer and assist Growing Golf coaching sessions at the weekend. After doing this for a year, I decided to further my learning and attend and pass the PGA Level 1 coaching course. The course consisted of planning, delivering and evaluating coaching sessions. During this time I learnt the skills needed to independently coach players to ensure their development and progression in a safe environment.

My main coaching objectives are to ensure each player enjoys, learns and continues with their golf development via interactive and enjoyable coaching while improving their technique and knowledge. After completing my qualifications I feel I am in a position to help players keep improving and reach their goals!

Callum Haughey

I strive to share the learning experience with the person I am working with. As a golf coach I want to help and develop people to maximise their experience within the game of golf. I have found that for a person to reach what they are capable of, their whole person must be in balance. I work with the person using the vehicle of coaching, to assist the person to be aware of what they can be, by being balanced. By growing a person’s existing knowledge and facilitating their awareness, they access the ability to be self-sufficient and can self-manage themselves and their performance.

I work with a large range of people, from professional golfers and amateur players to new golfers and everyone in between. Although the needs of this vast group are different, they all want the same thing ‘SUCCESS’. This coaching style allows the person to be a part of the learning process by sharing the experience, rather than being ‘told what to do’.

My point of difference is that I will not ‘tell’ you how to play golf. I will work with you to support you as a whole person, by coaching you to find the balance within yourself. I am mindful that playing to one’s ability is more than just the golf swing, it involves a number of skills.

Ronan Doyle

Zak Morgan

Zak had a short but exciting amateur career and spent three years at Golf College in Sussex being coached by Tim Spence, Paul Lyons and Denis Pugh. During these three years Zak obtained a wealth of knowledge to implement both into his own game but also to help improve the game of others. Zak turned professional in 2012 at the age of 18 with a handicap of +2.

Since turning professional he has enjoyed multiple seasons competing on the EuroPro, MENA, TP and Jamega Tours – gaining priceless tournament experience. Sian Evans

PGA Professional

Sian joined Kings Hill in 2014 after a successful amateur and NCAA University career. She fell in love with the game at an early age and hasn’t looked back – furthering her knowledge and skills whilst competing at a very high level.

In 2009, she fulfilled her dreams of playing collegiate golf in America by accepting a full scholarship to East Tennessee State University. Sian turned professional in 2014 after graduating with an honours degree in Sport and Exercise science. Since then she has continued to excel in WPGA and PGA South events, winning the 2016 South Region Assistant Professional of the year.

Sian is now a full member of the Ladies European Tour! She achieved this by winning a prestigiuos Tour Card via final qualifying in Morocco in December 2018. What a fantastic achievement!

Proud to have been selected to represent both Kent and England as a teenager, George had a successful amateur career where he discovered his passion for coaching.

After gaining his professional status in 2014, he won PGA trainee of the year for the South of England through a combination of academic and tournament results.

Now a fully qualified PGA Professional, George teaches golfers of all ages and abilities – tailoring the learning experience to each individual. With the use of market leading technology and post lesson video reviews after each session, George is ready to improve your game!

Jamie Padginton

PGA Professional

Jamie is the most recent addition to the Growing Golf Team and will be joining us on a Thursday and Saturday for those interested in taking lessons with him.
Qualified with distinction in 2002, Jamie soon established himself at The Leatherhead Golf Club and Horsham Golf and Fitness as an excellent young coach where he focused on the teachings of Leslie King.
In 2005 he was invited to the renowned Knightsbridge Golf School where King started his method in the 50’s. There he honed his skills for 3 years improving a broad spectrum of golfers, eventually jointly setting up The Swing Factory at Canary Wharf and The Jumeirah, Knightsbridge where he ran a successful indoor studio for 8 years.
Jamie currently coaches in The City at Pitch Golf Studio with all the latest camera, force plate and launch monitor technology.
For those looking for major golfing surgery or just a regular tweak, Jamie’s relaxed, enthusiastic approach coupled with vast swing building experience will ensure you always have complete understanding of your golf game.
