Growing Golf are based at Kings Hill Golf Club and Hilden Park Golf Centre. Both of these Kent venues offer some of the finest practice facilities in the South of England – allowing us to play all year round whatever the weather. This means that we never cancel our coaching sessions!
We run an award-winning junior programme at both venues and cater for all ages of children from 4 years old and older.
We also offer a number of adult group coaching sessions for all abilities, including roll-up sessions, on-course playing lessons and golf breaks abroad!

Mark has been a qualified PGA coach for 25 years and joined the Growing Golf team in the Autumn of 2017. He has held positions at prestigious venues such as Moor Park & Hendon in North London, and more recently in the Portuguese resorts of Quinta da Marinha and Praia del Rey Golf & Beach Resort.
At each of these venues Mark has worked with all standards of players from beginners to Tour players, juniors, groups and corporate clients. These diverse teaching groups, coupled with exposure to some of the world’s very best coaches, have allowed Mark to build up a great depth of teaching, mentoring skills and knowledge.
His ideas and passions have been advanced since returning to the UK in 2016, by using the very latest equipment and knowledge in coaching, club fitting and player development. Mark has also built up a sense of community with his players to ensure everyone maximises their golf enjoyment. He does this through regular group sessions, personal coaching apps, on-course play and hosting foreign winter coaching trips.
Mark’s purpose is to passionately and effectively help all players enjoy their golf more, through improved skills and understanding of their own games, which will naturally lead to improved performance.

Tom had an outstanding amateur career which included playing in the 2008 Open Championship, finishing in a tie for 19th alongside the likes of Davis Love III, Graeme McDowell and Phil Mickelson. He represented his county and country at all age levels from U16 to the Men’s 1st Team and was selected to be the England Boys Team Captain in 2005 after winning the prestigious Peter McEvoy Trophy. Having completed a degree in psychology at Georgia State University in 2011, Tom turned professional playing mainly on the Challenge Tour. He returned to amateur golf in 2018 and continued to enjoy success winning the Kent Amateur Championships in 2021 and representing the Kent Men’s 1st team regularly.
Tom enjoys sharing his wealth of playing experience to help juniors, club members, elite amateurs and professionals become better players. He believes that by combining sound technical fundamentals and great course management you can become a better all-round player and improve your scores wherever you play. Oliver qualified as a PGA professional in 2008 and has a wide range of golf coaching experience. He has taught golfers of all ages and abilities, with many of his players gaining single-figure handicaps and even professional status themselves.
Oliver’s philosophy of ‘small changes over a period of time’ allows new habits to form without the need to get worse before getting better! To help this, he uses a launch monitor to provide data on the improvements being made. He supplies video assistance during each lesson and also provides a platform for his clients to upload videos for feedback in between lessons, which ensures consistent improvement.

Nick has over 20 years of experience in the golf industry and has long passed the 10,000 hour mark for coaching golf lessons! His depth of knowledge and passion for the game allows him to effectively help everyone he teaches.
There have been numerous junior golfers who Nick has coached who have developed into single-figure handicap players, with some becoming PGA professionals themselves. His main goal is for them to enjoy their golf for life.

Julian has been a qualified PGA Professional since 2003 and played on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa for 3 years. He then focused his time on coaching, spending time in Dubai at the Jebel Ali Resort before moving to the PGA Tour Golf Academy at the World Golf Village in Jacksonville, Florida.
Since 2019, Julian has been Head Coach for Growing Golf at Hilden Golf Centre. His personal teaching style focuses on all aspects of the golf swing, helping each student reach their goals. He enjoys working with all ages and skill levels and his top priority is to help each player understand their own game, and to help players develop their own process of correction and development.
Over the last few years, he has worked with Trackman technology, one of the leading launch monitors to help improve players’ techniques, and he is qualified as a Level 2 Instructor with the Trackman University. Julian has also been studying at the Open University for the last 3 years on the psychological side of the game, focusing on players’ mindsets and mental approach to golf.
Julian’s knowledge and expertise as a coach is excellent, but what differentiates him from the others is how he gets to know your swing personally. Following a successful amateur career Paul turned professional in 2001, embarking on a full time tournament schedule that saw him perform successfully on the PGA Europro Tour. Paul has also played tournaments all over the globe, enjoyed coverage on Sky Sports, and has competed against the likes of Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia, Paul Casey, Luke Donald, and many more. Paul enjoyed his maiden professional win at Darenth Valley in 2007 and continues to compete at national and international level, including co-sanctioned events on the Canadian PGA Tour, Open Championship qualifying, French Open and USPGA Mexico Open.
With a burning desire to further his knowledge for the game Paul made the decision in 2005 to move into coaching in addition to his playing career. He attained his first teaching post at Tonbridge Golf Centre, and in his 8 years there set up an incredibly popular junior academy programme as well as weekly open group ‘roll up’ mornings. In 2013 Paul joined the coaching team at Hilden Golf Centre and continued to flourish under the guidance of owner Danny French before joining the team at Growing Golf. I first started playing golf at the Nevill Golf Club in Tunbridge Wells at the age of 13 and by the age of 18 I played off a plus 2 handicap. Having won the under 23 British Stroke Play Championship, South East Ladies Championship and Sussex Ladies Championship, and having represented England in the winning teams of the Nations Cup and the European Junior championships, I turned professional in 1988. I enjoyed playing on the Ladies European Tour for several years before dedicating myself to teaching and becoming a qualified golf professional.
I have worked at Hilden Golf Centre for the past 25 years where I have helped golfers of all ages and abilities. My philosophy is that no matter what level of golfer, “having fun” should be the number one priority while learning and playing. Danny turned professional in 2006 after he competed on professional tours in the UK, Europe and America. He has since fully committed himself to coaching and understanding the biomechanical and movement elements in golf swing techniques.
Danny is a certified TPI (Titliest Performance Institute) instructor. TPI is the world’s leading educational organisation dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. He completed his professional coaching qualifications with the EGTF, is the Head of Golf at Hurstpierpoint College, and is Team Manager for the Kent Golf Union U16 team. I first started playing golf 20 years ago and have always been passionate about improving. This led to me receiving golf tuition for the last 5 years and becoming a member at Kings Hill Golf Club and playing regularly.
Because of my increasing interest and my daughter’s passion to play, I started to volunteer and assist Growing Golf coaching sessions at the weekend. After doing this for a year, I decided to further my learning and attend and pass the PGA Level 1 coaching course. The course consisted of planning, delivering and evaluating coaching sessions. During this time I learnt the skills needed to independently coach players to ensure their development and progression in a safe environment.
My main coaching objectives are to ensure each player enjoys, learns and continues with their golf development via interactive and enjoyable coaching while improving their technique and knowledge. After completing my qualifications I feel I am in a position to help players keep improving and reach their goals!

I strive to share the learning experience with the person I am working with. As a golf coach I want to help and develop people to maximise their experience within the game of golf. I have found that for a person to reach what they are capable of, their whole person must be in balance. I work with the person using the vehicle of coaching, to assist the person to be aware of what they can be, by being balanced. I work with a large range of people, from professional golfers and amateur players to new golfers and everyone in between. Zak had a short but exciting amateur career and spent three years at Golf College in Sussex being coached by Tim Spence, Paul Lyons and Denis Pugh. During these three years Zak obtained a wealth of knowledge to implement both into his own game but also to help improve the game of others. Zak turned professional in 2012 at the age of 18 with a handicap of +2.
Since turning professional he has enjoyed multiple seasons competing on the EuroPro, MENA, TP and Jamega Tours – gaining priceless tournament experience. Sian joined Kings Hill in 2014 after a successful amateur and NCAA University career. She fell in love with the game at an early age and hasn’t looked back – furthering her knowledge and skills whilst competing at a very high level.
In 2009, she fulfilled her dreams of playing collegiate golf in America by accepting a full scholarship to East Tennessee State University. Sian turned professional in 2014 after graduating with an honours degree in Sport and Exercise science. Since then she has continued to excel in WPGA and PGA South events, winning the 2016 South Region Assistant Professional of the year.
Sian is now a full member of the Ladies European Tour! She achieved this by winning a prestigiuos Tour Card via final qualifying in Morocco in December 2018. What a fantastic achievement!

Jamie is the most recent addition to the Growing Golf Team and will be joining us on a Thursday and Saturday for those interested in taking lessons with him.
Qualified with distinction in 2002, Jamie soon established himself at The Leatherhead Golf Club and Horsham Golf and Fitness as an excellent young coach where he focused on the teachings of Leslie King.
In 2005 he was invited to the renowned Knightsbridge Golf School where King started his method in the 50’s. There he honed his skills for 3 years improving a broad spectrum of golfers, eventually jointly setting up The Swing Factory at Canary Wharf and The Jumeirah, Knightsbridge where he ran a successful indoor studio for 8 years.
Jamie currently coaches in The City at Pitch Golf Studio with all the latest camera, force plate and launch monitor technology.
